Starting on Sunday, January 8th, we will be starting an adult class that coincides with our eight week sermon series, “Putting the Christian Life Into FOCUS”, which starts on Sunday, January 1st.  The book we will use for the class is, “Covenant and Kingdom: The DNA of the Bible”, written by Mike Breen.  It is available for sale at the info table for $25.  As we look at some of the major stories in the bible starting with Abraham and David, we will see the two common threads of Covenant (God’s initiation to come into relationship with us through His Son); and Kingdom (How we can represent God and Jesus in the world) woven throughout the Old and New Testament. As we see this dual strand of Covenant and Kingdom throughout the bible, we can realize that God’s story continues through us. As we realize God’s covenant love for us, and then move out in the power of the Spirit to bring His kingdom here on earth as it is in heaven, we continue to accomplish God’s purposes today.  You can sign for the class, or the book at the information table!
