Caring Ministries

“Serve one another in love” Galatians 5:13
Caring Ministries at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church are among the many excellent ways to get involved in being the hands and feet of Jesus
to SHOW His love to others.
To volunteer in any of these caring ministries, please contact Lisa Keimach.
Here are some ways to SHOW God’s Love:
Caring Ministry Team - be a part of the team that oversees our Caring Ministries, supporting and coordinating those helping to meet the needs of our members.
Christ Bearers - visit and take communion to homebound members, share communion with those unable to attend our worship services. Training in how to share communion, and the blessed communion elements are provided.
Visitation Team/Sunshine Bunch - visit homebound or hospitalized members. Deliver flowers from Sunday’s Services to brighten someone’s day.
Meal Providers - be one of a team of members who provide meals to someone who has suffered an injury or illness or is in special need.
Meals for Moms
It is amazing how simply making a bit more of what you would already be making for your own family's dinner can truly be a HUGE blessing for another family.
Let's welcome new babies into the family of GSLC by showering these growing families with our love, support, prayers, and the simple blessing of a meal.
If you would be willing to occasionally bring a meal for a family welcoming a new baby, please email Nicole Warne-McGraw at carrymebeautifully@yahoo.com with your name, email, and neighborhood or zip code. You can also check out the Meals for Moms website and calendar by clicking here.
Transportation Providers - be one of a team of members who provide transportation to those in need (possibly to church or a doctors appointment)
Card Buddies - be part of the team that sends uplifting cards for birthdays and anniversaries or other occasions.
Blood Drive - help those in need by donating blood or volunteering to assist with one of our blood drives
Career Network - a ministry that provides information on job opportunities, career counseling, and resume polishing.
Grief Recovery Groups - as needed groups that meet to meet the needs of individuals in overcoming loss and grief.
